- Start your day with 20 minutes of exercise and a ‘purple’ smoothie.
- Be on time (be early).
- Be a celebrator of other people’s achievements.
- Stop watching TV.
- Finish what you start.
- Remember that your diet affects your mood so eat like an athlete.
- Spend an hour at the end of your day without stimulation (no phone, no FaceBook, no noise)
- Write in a journal every morning. And record gratitude every night. And don’t forget to list your achievements 😉
- Make the choice to let go of your past. It’s dusty history that pollutes your future.
- Commit to being “amazing” at your work.
- Smile more (and tell your face).
- Stop gossiping (average people love gossip; exceptional people love ideas).
- Do a nature walk at least once a week. It’ll renew you.
- Take on work no one else will take on. Set goals no one else will do.
- Say “sorry” when you know you should say “sorry”.
- Say “please” and “thank you” a lot.
- Remember that to earn more you need to learn more. Read more and listen more.
- Achieve 2 little goals each day. In 12 months this habit will produce 728 little goals which amounts to a massive improvement in your life.
- Write thank you notes to your customers, teammates and family members.
- Breathe. Often throughout the day.
- Keep your promises.
- Always speak the truth no matter the circumstances.
- Remember that ordinary people talk about their goals. Extraordinary people get them done quickly.
- Remember that you get what you focus on. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.
- Know your values. And then have the guts to live them–no matter what the crowd thinks and how the herd lives.
- Become the fittest person you know.
- Become the strongest person you know.
- Become the kindest person you know.
Do you wish you had Super Powers?
As a kid I was obsessed with Superman and Spiderman. I loved the fantasy of defeating villains and saving the world! As an adult I realised that we are ALL already blessed with super powers.
To think otherwise is an insult to God who created our amazing abilities.
How to Roll on Hard Days
The people I work with are my inspiration show up to work and do my best.
Every company has its hard and even downright awful days. And every leader has days that frustrate and discourage them. It can diminish confidence and self-faith. When faced with a challenging day, many people play the victim. They crumble, blame others and feel powerless. Why is it that my colleagues inspire me? It is because they keep plowing ahead. They don’t give up. They don’t get discouraged. They fix the problem. They learn from the problem and focus relentlessly on solutions.
Forgiveness is always on your path to greatness
Many potentially GREAT people don’t realise their brilliance simply because they get stuck in the past. You can stay angry at someone who hurt you or you can get busy living an amazing life. You cannot do both.
DON’T BE A TOURIST
